Job Profile
Requirements Associate degree and two years of related PSG experience. BRPT registry. Additional experience may be used on a one-to-one basis to offset education requirements. Salary commensurate with experience. Grade ED.
Position Description: The primary function of this position is to perform overnight polysomnography testing measuring neurological, respiratory, and cardiovascular functions for each patient being monitored. Acuity is 2:1 normally. This position requires maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting of equipment used for routine testing. Responsible for initiation of subject's medical records, chart maintenance and paperwork management, maintaining/improving job knowledge and skills in an ever expanding technical field, and successful communication and reporting of unusual events, malfunctioning equipment, and potential problems. Accountable for making sound independent judgments related to testing of subjects.
Hours for position are from 7:00pm to 8:00am.
Completion of a Polysomnographic training program is highly desirable.
